Unveiling a Competition in Boeing Zhoushan: How Much Do You Really Know about Safety?

In a bid to continually enhance the collective safety consciousness and foster an organizational culture that places safety at the forefront, Boeing Zhoushan 737 Completion and Delivery Center recently hosted its first Safety Knowledge Competition. The event garnered an positive response and saw enthusiastic participation from the entire workforce.

This competition centered around evaluating participants' understanding of " Work Safety Law of the People's Republic of China," " Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases," and internal company standard operating procedures, encompassed two stages: an online qualification round and a final showdown. The aim was to identify and acknowledge employees who exhibited the utmost precision and comprehensiveness in their grasp of safety production knowledge. By engaging in this competition, participants deepened their comprehension of relevant legal frameworks and bolstered their familiarity with Health, Safety, Security and Environment Department’s standard operating procedures, thereby augmenting their overall safety-conscious mindset.

Following a fervent online qualification round, thirteen competitors emerged to battle it out in the final showdown. As the competition unfolded, these individuals showcased their impressive reservoir of safety knowledge, and at certain points, the scores of various participants reached a deadlock, captivating everyone in attendance. Ultimately, three outstanding victors emerged. Participants said that the lively format provided them with a sense of enjoyment. Moreover, they said the competition not only broadened their understanding of safety production but also significantly fortified their personal commitment to fostering a secure environment through heightened safety awareness.

The Safety Knowledge Competition, orchestrated in an innovative manner, has disseminated safety insights amongst the entire workforce at Boeing Zhoushan. Irrespective of whether they were actively involved as competitors or keenly observing as engaged colleagues, each participant was enriched by the competition, deepening their awareness of safety production, and expanding their reserves of emergency preparedness knowledge. Andy He, the Chief Administration Officer of Completion Center says that, going forward, the company will remain steadfast in its commitment to the safety theme "Everyone Matters in Safety Management and Emergency Response." By doing so, the company aims to foster a pervasive safety culture that permeates every facet of its operations, ensuring resolute adherence to the principles of safety production.
