Employee from Boeing Zhoushan Completion Center Achieves Outstanding Results at Zhoushan's First English Talent Competition

On April 29, the final round of Zhoushan’s first English talent competition for employees, themed "IN Zhoushan, Better and Better", concluded successfully. Outstanding foreign language talents from municipal institutions, key industries such as green petrochemicals, shipbuilding and marine engineering, modern aviation, and maritime services competed fiercely. Robert Liang from our Business Planning Department won the second prize with his exceptional English presentation skills and captivating stage performance. The competition was jointly organized by the Municipal Talent Work Leading Group Office, Municipal Government Departments Working Committee, Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, aiming to promote Zhoushan’s high-level openness to the world and accelerate its internationalization.

In his competition entry titled 'Nexus we believe, nexus we weave', Robert Liang used the Boeing Zhoushan Completion Center as the narrative backdrop, narrating his transformation story from 'outsider' to 'local' through the perspective of a 'new Zhoushan resident'. At Boeing Zhoushan Completion Center, employees from diverse backgrounds come together for a shared aviation mission, finding a sense of belonging by sharing hometown delicacies and exchanging regional customs, and realizing their self-worth in an inclusive environment. Each aircraft delivered is not only the result of meticulous collaboration but also a cultural bridge fostering openness and exchange. As Robert stated in his entry: "The aircraft we deliver are not just as machines, but as bridges connecting every region of our nation. "

In fact, the Boeing Zhoushan Completion Center is a vivid reflection of Zhoushan’s inclusive spirit. From deepening talent recruitment and cultivation policies to establishing international exchange platforms, from charting a blueprint for industrial upgrading to developing aviation manufacturing clusters, Zhoushan has consistently embraced diversity to foster a thriving ecosystem. Here, professionals anchor their careers, while the city aggregates talent and wisdom to enhance its global openness. Just as employees at the completion center build aerial bridges through aircraft, Zhoushan accelerates its internationalization through every striving individual, cultural exchange, and industrial leap, painting a dynamic vision of "IN Zhoushan, Better and Better."
